Vouchers Aren’t Getting The Job Done in Ohio, So Why Would They Work In Nevada
The most recent report about vouchers focuses on Ohio’s Ed Choice program, in existence since 2005. So-called “Education Choice Scholarships” are now provided to more than 18,000 Ohio students. The report, “evaluation of Ohio’s Ed Choice Scholarship Program: Selection, Competition, and Performance Effects,” was written by David Figlio and Krzysztof Karbownik of the Thomas B. Fordham Institute and published this month. It should be noted that the Fordham Institute is a well-known, ideologically conservative, education policy think tank.
